A NEW LOOK
Our talented engineers redesigned every part of your new Yamaha MT-15, ensuring it’s a brawny looker as well as a serious performer. Up front, an aggressive new nose cowl is flanked by twin headlights that fit in neatly with Yamaha’s much-loved family face.
Less visually striking changes include a more pronounced passenger grab rail, sturdier footpegs, and improved seat padding — all elements we’ve fine-tuned to give you greater comfort on longer rides. Meanwhile, strong metal protection panels have been added to protect key parts from stone chips on day-to-day commutes.
You’ll also find twin LED rear lights for better visibility when riding behind larger vehicles at night. The engine has been given a thorough makeover too. Revisions to our Mixture Preparation System (MPS) mean less fuel will be wasted during hard acceleration, while revised intake ports and camshafts ensure optimum power delivery throughout the rev range.
And thanks to reduced internal friction, throttle response has been sharpened up for even quicker acceleration off corners. The result? Increased torque across all RPM ranges means you can enjoy enhanced responsiveness without having to rev beyond 6500 rpm.
